Da wir wegen dem Armaturenbrett das Blech um Motorraum demontiert hatten, war es die Gelegenheit den Bereich zu überholen. Alle raus, neue Kabel zum Sicherungskasten. Alle Kontakte überprüfen und ggf. löten.
Since we had removed the sheet metal around the engine compartment for the dashboard, this was the opportunity to overhaul that area. We took everything out, installed new wires to the fuse box, and checked all the contacts and soldered them if necessary.

Relais unter dem Batteriekasten. Relay under the battery box
Der Flüssiggummi hatte so gut abgedichtet, dass der Lack abging. The liquid rubber had sealed so well that the paint came off.
Panther – 35 Jahre alt. Donna – 6 Monate alt. Panther – 35 years old. Donna – 6 months old.
Die Schläuche waren absolut hart. The tubes were absolutely hard.
Eine Sicherung versteckt im Kabelstrang. Wäre sie durchgebrannt hätte man die Stelle nie gefunden.
A fuse hidden in the wiring harness. If it had blown, the location would never have been found.
Da war irgendwann Feuchtigkeit im Relais. Ich denke aus der Zeit bevor ich das Blech neu angefertigt habe. There was moisture in the relay at some point. I think from the time before I remade the sheet metal.
